The Master of Deceit's Manipulative Show (Task 1)

“Pull up a seat, Hane,” the Mawile suggested for the last time, watching the Skarmory near her pacing. She was getting irritated by it, how jumpy the massive bird seemed to be. “It’s just me heading out there, afterall. You can just sit behind the curtains.”

The Skarmory, Hane, shook his head in irritation. “But do we know how far it actually goes, Azamuku? You might not be able to get all the way before I’m dragged along into the crowd.” He seemed insistent about this problem, whatever it is.

“I’m sure we can get 10 feet apart, so just relax!” The Mawile, Azamuku, seemed irritated, standing up. She was about ready to walk up to him and force him to sit down. That is, until she heard another voice.

“Aza… Mawile! You’re up!” She looked over to the curtains, nodding as she took her veil, placing it right on her head. She checked that the bow was still wrapped on the back of her head, then pushed the veil down, so that it would hide her eyes.

“How do I look?”

She waited until she received some sort of answer from Hane, while he was looking over to her. “Well, you look like you always do.”

“Beautiful, perfect!” She moved over to the curtains, doing last-minute check before she walked out into the crowd. Get rid of some dirt, and smiling. She was ready. She opened up the curtains, slowly sashaying out into the crowd. “Welcome, gentleman, to the best performance of the night!”

Hane No Ken, aware of her Attract, stayed behind the curtains, not bothering to check on how well she was performing. He just needs to hope he won’t be dragged along. Come to think of it, he should thank her. She’s doing all of this, and it’s him who’s getting the reward in the end. A bit unfair…

At the edge of the line, she leaned over and blew a kiss to one of the audience members in the front, then winked. Then, she slowly sashayed back towards the curtains, winking every so often. Before heading back through the curtains, she dropped down, moving near a girl, then with a wink, whispered into the stranger’s ear “you can be like me one day.”

She then went behind the curtain, blowing a kiss to the confused girl, before closing the curtains. She turned over to Hane No ken, her flirting ending abruptly. “That went well, wouldn’t you say so?” She chuckled, heading over to one of the chairs.

“Judging by the whistles, I’d say so,” Hane answered, but with less enthusiasm. “Thanks, by the way…” He gave a nod, standing back up. They should be leaving, got everything they needed…

“Yeah, yeah,” she called back dismissively. That was her big entrance now, now everyone will have some idea about Azamuku… “So what’s next on the agenda?”
